Stephen Wibberley was raised in Canterbury, CT, the fifth generation of his family to live there. The author of 4 other books, he worked for 33 years in the Middle East before returning to the family farm in 2012. Sheila Mason Gale is another long term resident of Canterbury. She was the secretary to the first selectman for many years and interviewed 29 residents to preserve their histories.
