Giles Milton has contributed articles for many newspapers and specializes in the history of travel and exploration. Giles is the author of several history books for adults, including the best-selling Nathaniel's Nutmeg. Alexandra Milton studied art and English in Paris and then moved to England, where she worked as a primary school teacher before becoming a full-time illustrator. Alexandra draws inspiration from her father and grandfather, both distinguished artists from Germany.
