Produktbeschreibung
This book describes Cadmium sulfide Nanostructures such as Nanoparticles and Nanowires are synthesized by solution combustion process and Displacement method. To obtain a sample with uniform morphology and pure composition, we investigated and optimized the amounts of experimental variables such as thiourea and cadmium nitrate concentrations, types and concentration of synthesis additives, pH, heating temperatures, and ultrasonic wave irradiation. The prepared samples are characterized by SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, TGA, DSC, and UV-visible spectroscopy. The optimized conditions include cadmium nitrate 70% and thiourea 30%, pH 3, and 0.5% wt sodium dodecyl sulfate as structural additive. In optimum conditions, uniform CdS nanowires with 50 nm average diameter and 7 µ average lengths are synthesized. The optimized CdS nanowires were used as an hydrogen sulfide gas-sensing agent to construct a new solid-state sensor. This sensor showed high dynamic range and sensitivity to H2S gas.
