Joanne S. Rupp is a published children's books' author, poet, and published short story writer. This story is told through a fun-loving puppy, named Butterscotch, and his human owner, Darcie. Joanne has taught, worked, and enjoyed children most of her life, realizing some children easily adapt and others need creative fun ways to overcome challenges and develop traits that lead to future successes. It is her hope that children, parents, and educators enjoy exploring how Butterscotch gains confidence and reaches out to others by overcoming obstacles and gaining 'courage.' Ms. Rupp's motto, "Gaining confidence, children can be their most individual selves." Ms. Rupp graduated with a BS in Psychology from UW-Green Bay, WI, and an AA degree in Liberal Arts, from Hibbing Community College, Hibbing, MN and has received numerous awards in early childhood development as a childhood educator. Currently, she is a certified substitute teacher in the State of Wisconsin, Ages K-12. Joanne hopes all who read about 'Butterscotch and Darcie,' realize their gifts as children, parents, and educators.
