S.E. Sasaki is a family physician with degrees in Biology, Neurophysiology, and Medicine. She practiced as a general practitioner for over twenty years in a small rural town in Canada but now spends most of her working hours in the operating room, assisting in elective and emergency surgery. When she is not operating or catching up on her much needed sleep, she is writing science fiction, creating her award-winning collages, downhill skiing, canoeing or kayaking, travelling to other countries, playing tennis, hiking, or looking after her family.
