A few years ago, I began to take stock of my spiritual and natural life. Why was I experiencing such an emotional drought? The reality was that I had been thriving on emotional experiences that masked the true condition of my spirit and therefore how I was living. A few years ago, I began to take stock of my spiritual and natural life. Why was I experiencing such an emotional drought? The reality was that I had been thriving on emotional experiences that masked the true condition of my spirit and therefore how I was living. I was a Christian whose life did not look like it had encountered Jesus. I realized that I was a broken Christian, I prayed, went to Bible study, paid tithes, and would even help others pray, but I was not growing. I likened myself to a house with a beautiful exterior, filled with beautiful furniture and new carpeting but upon closer viewing the fixtures were rusting and mold infested the walls. Despite what my mouth professed, I ran from the charge to mature and therefore lived like the Word of God was not powerful enough to transform my life. In this book, I address what led to my ineffective Christianity and discuss how you can recognize your own. If you are mad at God, find church and Bible study pointless, struggle to pray, are too ashamed of your past to see God's future for you, always set goals but never accomplish anything, then this book is definitely for you. In this book you will find: confession, clarity and community. By my confession, I give you permission to confess that you to are broken and therefore struggle to be effective. By my personal clarity, I invite you to examine yourself through the Word of God, to find the source of the issues and the practical, working solutions. Lastly, I hope to provide you with community, I've learned that no pile of dirt is unique, some of us just play with the dirt longer than others. Beloved, I invite you to be transformed by confession, clarity and community.
