Stephen Conway is a professor of history at University College London and a fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He served as head of department from 2012 to 2015, and is now an editor of English Historical Review. His research and teaching considers eighteenth-century Britain's engagement with the wider world, especially the overseas empire and the nearby Continent.
