Autorenporträt
Dr. Joni Hand is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at Southeast Missouri State University and serves as the Area Head of Art History. She has several publications, including Women, Manuscripts, and Identity in Northern Europe, 1350-1550 (ashgate, 2013). Dr. Hand has given numerous papers on medieval manuscripts at national and international conferences including The Sixteenth Century Society and Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Annual International Congress on Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and the Conference of Religious Practice in Western European Christianity in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. In addition to scholarly research and teaching, Dr. Hand is a practicing artist and regularly exhibits her artwork regionally.
