Border molding procedure is a part of the classical methodology for complete denture fabrication and in some shortened methods of treatment it is allowed to miss this stage. In dentistry, impression materials are constantly developing. Different viscosities are created and profiled for their use - for removable and fixed prosthesis, occlusal fixation, implant impressing, border molding and more. At the same time, some very good materials are forgotten or denied by contemporary authors.

A Dra. Dobromira Shopova-Karatsanova formou-se em Medicina Dentária na Faculdade de Medicina Dentária, Plovdiv em 2006. Desde 2007 até agora é professora assistente no Departamento de Odontologia Protética, colocada na mesma Faculdade. Em 2012, licenciou-se como especialista em Dentisteria Protética.
