Jason Monaghan trained as an archaeologist, but his career has taken unexpected twists including spells working on Roman pottery, on shipwrecks, in museums, in offshore banking, and becoming an anti-money laundering specialist. All this has provided plenty of inspiration for writing historical thrillers and mysteries set in the world of archaeology. Now a full-time writer he has returned to live in his native Yorkshire but travels as often and as far as he can.
