Vivienne Stevenson is an Australian writer who grew up in rural Victoria. She travelled extensively before living and working in Japan for four years where, surrounded by an ancient and rich culture, the seed of this story first sprouted and took shape. She has teaching, horticultural and landscaping qualifications, as well as a background in martial arts and meditation - all of which are reflected throughout the story. When not writing, Vivienne is a traveler, a seeker of treasures in Oriental countries and an enthusiast for old gardens and architecture. She is also a butler to three cats! Vivienne now lives in Queensland, Australia.
