James Lowen is an experienced naturalist and author whose previous books include 100 Days Wild (Bradt) and, for Bloomsbury, RSPB books on Hedgehogs and Badgers. Carlos Bocos Gonzalez is one of Spain's top bird photographers, and one of the lead photographers on Helm's forthcoming defiinitive work, Handbook of Western Palearctic Birds.
