Melissa Booey is a Los Angeles based writer, actress and teaching artist. She has spent the last five years collaborating on passion projects from developing immersive theatre and directing children's musicals to working with top performers and curating multi-aged curriculum for local performance education. Poetry has been a part of her life since a young age, and she has used it throughout her entire career as a writer and artist. Melissa runs a poetry podcast called "Poet's Return" that is in its second season, and features diverse writers from across the globe. She hopes to continue meeting others with a similar passion for further building our community of artists and story tellers.
