Hauber is professor and executive director at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and previously served as the Harley Jones Van Cleave Professor of Host-Parasite Interactions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is the author of The Book of Eggs, also published by the University of Chicago Press.
