The research field of gene therapy in plants evolving from the research are fast moving, ever-changing disciplines. On an almost daily basis, there appears in the middle of a "breaking story" of a gene-based research findings. An implication of the story is that this research will speedily transform breakthrough in the next few years, into a marvelous new therapy for molecular genetic medicine plants. All genes must be expressed to exhibit their biological activities. How the genes are expressed and regulated is a critical question in molecular biology and our knowledge in this area has been expanding enormously in recent years. The complexity of gene regulation is compounded by the fact that gene activities reach every corner of biology. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of transcription regulation is of fundamental importance. For protein-coding genes, post-transcriptional steps, including pre-mRNA processing, mRNA transport and translation, can also play important roles in regulating gene expression. Every chapter in this book is a scholarly work reflecting numerous hours of intense efforts of the contributors.
Autorenporträt
Sivani Chowdary Lavu et al., pursuing their undergraduate program in biotechnology from KL University. They convinced the study design, performed experiments and were in charge of overall direction and planning. They are also involved in the critical revision of the manuscript and submitted the final version.
