Produktbeschreibung
Anaerobic digestion is a prominent technology for the generation of biogas from the degradation of biomass wastes. Press mud is found to be a potential source of biomass obtained as an effluent from the sugar industry which is used in this study. Press mud contains moisture content, combustible organic matter which is suitable for the production of biogas. Characterization of press mud such as physico-chemical analysis, Scanning Electron Microscope analysis of press mud has been carried out in this research which shows the distinct degradability behavior in compare with other biomass. The current investigation is done with the anaerobic digestion of press mud employing iron oxide nanoparticles to enhance the production of biogas. Iron oxide nanoparticles has been synthesized and Fourier Transform Infrared analysis, X-Ray Diffraction analysis were carried out.The biogas yield obtained is assessed by determining the kinetic parameters such as specific biogas production potential (A), maximum biogas production rate (µm) and duration of lag phase ( ) of the anaerobic digestion of press mud. Kinetic study involves a various kinetic models.
