As a teen she is confronted with the realities of life, love, and family disappointments of coming to age. As a young adult, she takes a leap of faith only to be jolted into reality by unimaginable challenges of marrying too soon. In an act of desperation, she seeks safety and security, from her personal storms, by enlisting in the US Army. The Army becomes a catalyst to God and to all of the answers she seeks. Author Bio: Lorraine Burnett-Hill was born and raised in Madison, Illinois. She is the oldest of eight children born to Momma E. Banks. She professed Christ at 13 years old and served as a member of Faith Tabernacle Church of God In Christ, Eagle Park Acres. She is married to Larry B. Hill and has two sons, Jeremiah Lawrence Willis Wilson, III and Justin Lee Carrington Wilson. She accepted her call to service as a minister, in 2004 and was ordained in 2007. Lorraine earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree from Saint Leo University and a Master of Management degree from Phoenix University. She served 20 years, as an enlisted soldier, in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Lorraine has dedicated her life as a servant "Warrior" to our Lord and country; professing her faith in God and providing the world a living testament of His grace.
