Michael Fridgen is a former classroom music teacher who still enjoys playing the piano, listens to Christmas music year-round, begins decorating for the holiday at midnight on Halloween, and constructs an elaborate gingerbread house every year. An avid traveler Fridgen has visited theme parks on six continents as well as all fifty states and collects ornaments from all of his travels. He is one of the judges for the Golden Ticket Awards, the theme park industry's highest award program. Fridgen has published four works of fiction, including Ruth 3:5, a finalist for the 2013 Minnesota Book Award. He's also published nonfiction work, including Dollywood and Beyond: A Theme Park Lover's Guide, which is consistently on Amazon's list of bestselling theme park books.
