After a lifetime of society accepting the mistreatment of women including her own, the main character starts to change. Each micro aggression at work, unwanted touching at the store, everyday moments in a sexist world brings out the monster living inside her. Throughout the story the main character reflects back into her past reliving moments in life where men have mistreated her. While reliving the moment, she feels the sensation of the snakes showing themself. Medusa finds herself unable to control herself or the monster she is becoming.
