Many of us have had the opportunity to experience a relationship with our Grandmama's, Big Mama's, or even a Mut Dear. A relationship that was so impactful that it became a foundation or guide for our adulthood. Whether you read this series of books to your children, or they read it for themselves, I believe they will be able to identify with the story of Meg and her grandma, "Because Grandma Says So".

Autorenporträt
Felicia Stoudemire-Foye was born and raised in Prattville, Alabama. Most of her career has been in the nonprofit sphere where she has worked serving communities, schools, in her favorite space, with children. Felicia Foye graduated from Faulkner University with a degree in Business Management and has an MBA from Faulkner University. Felicia has a deep and true compassion for changing the trajectory of the lives of children, the underserved and senior citizens. Felicia's love for children prompted her to start a youth organization in the 90's called, KNAT (Kids Need Attention Too). This afforded more than 100+ youth chances to explore, experience and engage in opportunities to help shape them culturally, educationally, and professionally. Felicia has been recognized and received many awards over years but of them all she says her greatest accomplishment has been the birth of her daughter, Megan. Felicia's desire to engage youth through storytelling has always been a passion. 'Because Grandma Said So" was inspired by her mother, Margaret Stoudemire and her daughter, Megan, who's relationship was undeniable a true testament to the impact that "Grandma's" make in the shaping of a child. Some of Felicia's favorite past times are writing, traveling, and helping others see the very best in themselves. Felicia now lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Greg Foye.
