Hal Eisenberg is the founder and CEO of Windows of Opportunity, Inc. - The Eisenberg Learning and Leadership Academy, a non-profit agency that is essentially a series of community outreach initiatives built for youth by youth. WOO partners with kids, teens, and young adults ages 6 through 24 to develop in-school and after school programs, workshops, conferences, and curriculums for themselves and their peers. These programs form partnerships with local school districts, universities, and community social service agencies. Windows of Opportunity's goal is to assist and empower our at-risk youth in designing, executing, and participating in positive leadership roles through social emotional learning initiatives, innovative programs, workshops, and curriculums that address all the compartments of their life, while building their self-esteem. With a strong knowledge in creating innovative programs for over 20 years, Hal has been credited with implementing and coordinating events, and raising over half a million dollars for various charities. He has also created programs for young people interested in developing their own self-expression through music, fashion, and film. Hal has authored several age-appropriate leadership curriculums that range from K-6, 7-12, and higher education platforms, with social emotional learning activities that provide students with an expansive understanding of our ever-changing society. He is extremely involved in community service projects, with a commitment to make a difference for all around him. He has recently coordinated youth leadership programs in Haiti, Nigeria, Guyana, Kenya, the UK, and Canada. Hal holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State. In 2021 Hal will complete his 2nd Master's Degree in School Leadership and will hold a licenses in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership. He is certified by the New York State Department of Education to provide violence prevention training to professionals under Project Save (Safe Schools Against Violence in Education) and was awarded both the Evelyn Pliego Social Work Student of the Year Award presented by the Borough of Queens President Claire Schulman, and a City Council Citation, awarded by Councilman Sheldon Leffler. Hal also earned training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) designed by Cornell University. In 2018, he was awarded the NYCDOE School Social Worker of the Year Award for his tireless efforts in one of the largest school districts in the world. Hal is currently exploring doctorate programs in educational reform.
