Mary Harris loves storytelling, especially humorous vignettes about relationships. She specializes in flash fiction with a quirky eye on human behavior. Former teacher, community volunteer, experienced world traveler, engaged mother, and adoring grandmother, she returned to college in her 60s and graduated with a Master of Liberal Studies degree in creative writing. Her experience managing her mother's care led to Beatrice Jones, a caregiver and "best friend" whose infectious laughter and practical wisdom echoed throughout the aging years for Mary and her mother. Raised in Houston, Mary lives and writes in Dallas, Texas, sharing her literary adventures with her Dark and Stormy Writers Group.
