Be Gratified is a gratitude journal which includes 100-reflective journal prompts, inspirational quotes that coincide with each prompt, and daily affirmations that incorporate tracking your recovery time. These prompts were based on my own struggles with and insights about gratitude gained throughout my recovery journey. In this journal, you will find ways to cultivate gratitude for aspects of life as simple as toiletries to aspects as complex as your Higher Power and everywhere in-between. I've found that many of the gratitude journals that I purchased throughout my recovery were missing a key component of my struggle - the ugly, rough realness of addiction. The purpose of this journal is to be relatable to readers who have suffered both high bottoms and low bottoms throughout their active addiction. This journal is meant to be inclusive of all struggles from all points of view. Amber Brinson is a recovering addict and alcoholic from Columbus, Ohio. Amber has struggled with substance abuse since the age of 12. She has been to numerous treatment centers in the state of Ohio over the years and never imagined that she would be able to reach the success in her recovery that she has today. Amber attributes her success in recovery to three beliefs: conscious contact with her Higher Power, helping other addicts, and practicing gratitude. She is a mother of three amazing kids, an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, a sponsor to multiple women working the 12-steps, and a Peer Certified Specialist in the field of addiction. Amber's hope is to impact the lives of recovering addicts and alcoholics by helping them find gratitude in every moment.
