Umundiukwu people are known for their prowess in farming, and the town is the food basket of other communities in Nua Province. Traders come from far and near towns to buy produce from Umundiukwu. Nnamdi is a strong, energetic farmer whose exploits in farming earned him the exalted title of Egbe Ebu Mbekwu of Umundiukwu. This title automatically made him a member of the Chief's Cabinet. Over the years, he has been the best farmer who produces the largest and most valued cash crops. Nnamdi's quest to broaden his horizons in farming propelled him to search for vast land which shall enhance large-scale production of farm produce. He found Paradise Forest, a land that synchronized with his lofty ideas. The people of Umundiukwu heralded this discovery as the future of abundant farming in the land. However, the forest became a nightmare for Nnamdi and his kinsmen. It turned out to be a battlefield for insects, rodents, reptiles, birds, fishes, and human beings. The mosquitoes swore to use all possible means to destroy the humans. These tiny creatures devised a means of sucking human blood, inflicting malaria, fever, and other dangerous diseases on them. The humans lost many of their loved ones in this battle, and the death toll increased drastically in Umundiukwu and its environs. The humans finally won the battle because of the assistance gotten from health officials, who brought mosquito-treated nets, ACT drugs, insecticides, and other anti-mosquito devices to wipe away mosquitoes in Umundiukwu and Nua Province.
