Annemarie Nikolaus ha studiato psicologia, pubblicistica, politica e storia e ha lavorato a lungo come scienziata sociale e giornalista. Dopo quasi vent'anni nel Nord Italia, ora vive con la figlia nel centro della Francia. A cavallo del nuovo millennio ha cominciato a scrivere testi narrativi. Dopo la pubblicazione delle prime storie brevi, si è dedicata a romanzi storici e fantasy, poi ha iniziato a spaziare fra altri generi. In quanto storica appassionata, inoltre si diletta molto a rievocare epoche passate.
