Twenty years ago, while in prison, Mark was given a copy of James Allen's book, "As A Man Thinketh". He was so moved by this book that it became his daily devotional. However, over the next few years he realized that even though the overarching theme of Mr. Allen's book applied to all people, it did not deal with the day to day things that were unique to prison and prisoners alone. Being a prisoner himself, Mark, wanted to write a book designed especially targeting the unique circumstances his brothers and sisters behind bars face. "As A Convict Thinketh" is a cold, hard, yet loving look at reality for past, present and future prisoners. It is a beautiful and inspiring gift for those you love who are incarcerated. I highly recommend it. Mark Crawford, the former Mayor of Ingleside Texas, was arrested in 1996 on the charge of murder. He was acquitted of that murder in the State Court in 1997 - ultimately in 1999 he was convicted of that same murder in Federal Court. Mark is serving a Life Sentence in Federal Prison. While admitting to a plethora of other non-violent crimes, Mark has always maintained his innocence concerning murder.
