The first impression and subjective experiences of users are strongly influenced by the appearance of webs. Thus some researchers proposing a new aspect in web design, that is, web aesthetics. However, in contrast to the abundant amount of researches focusing on human-computer interface of webs, only a few studies have focused on the aesthetics of webs. The aesthetics has found to play an important role in new system (or product) development, marketing strategies, and the retail environment. The aesthetically pleasing properties have a positive influence on users' preferences of a system (or product) and their decision processes when they use (or purchase) it. This study focuses on the web aesthetics in relation to visual ergonomics, rather than operational ergonomics in relation to usability. In addition, this study aims to develop an intelligent user-centered decision support system. The intelligent decision support system can translate users' feelings of a web into design elements of the web, thus helping web designers work out the optimal design of web physical elements in line with specific users' feelings (aesthetics) of the web.
