George Minasyan (Minasov) (1933-2020) was an Armenian professional duduk player,music educator, and author of seven duduk textbooks. Maestro Minasyan became a solo performer with the Azerbaijan State Radio and Television Folk Instruments Orchestra after graduating from Baku Musical College. He moved to Yerevan, Armenia, in 1983, joining the Gussan and Folk Music Ensemble. Georgy Minasyan taught duduk at the Melikian Music College in Yerevan for decades and performed with the Dudukner Ensemble locally and internationally.George Minasov, in addition to being a masterful performer, is also an experienced teacher, an inventor and a tireless researcher of the instrument. His patented duduk modifications include adding metal levers to traditional duduks, thereby significantly expanding the instrument's range and repertoire beyond traditional folk tunes.This 3rd Edition of "Armenian Duduk Method" is the culmination of Georgy Minasov's many years of performing and teaching, in which he never withered because of his insatiable curiosity.
