V.Sowmya is currently working as Assistant Professor in Centre for Computational Engineering and Networking(CEN), Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetgam, Amrita University, India, since July 2011. Her research areas of interest includes color image processing, hyperspectral image processing and pattern classification.
