When an immature tooth suffers an injury and causes pulp necrosis, the growth process is interrupted. Apexification establishes an effective treatment that induces the formation of an apical calcified barrier, allowing a permanent and hermetic filling of the root. There are different techniques to perform the procedure; using calcium hydroxide mixed with different vehicles as the main component. The present clinical case reports a 10-year-old male patient with a complicated coronal fracture of tooth number 21, with incomplete root formation. Objective: To identify the advantages of calcium hydroxide as intraconduit medication, to evaluate radiographic changes and to determine the treatment protocol. Conclusions: The ideal intra-oral medication for the induction of an apical stop in a young tooth is of notable importance for the success of the treatment, where calcium hydroxide plays an important role, since for years and at present it continues to be the material that offers the most advantages in the apexification process.
