Before her recovery journey, she battled with inner rage, loss of emotional control, codependency, and crippling anxiety. She struggled with her faith, knowing who she was in Christ, and had an on-again, off-again relationship with God and the church. She was set free from her bondage through a renewed personal relationship with God, counseling, therapy, learning to love herself, and attending a therapeutic retreat center outside of Nashville, Tennessee, that she calls "a slice of heaven on earth!"

In it, she shares her life journey and her desire to see the broken and hurting healed through mental health awareness and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She lives in Huntsville, Alabama, with her husband, Clint.
