The Upper Okpara Basin, which was the subject of this research, is experiencing severe degradation of the vegetation cover, which is one of the most important elements of the environmental system. The main objective of this research is to identify the different causes of spatio-temporal changes in vegetation according to agricultural stakeholders in the upper Okpara basin. The methodological approach adopted for this research is based on a participatory approach and the admission of a questionnaire in the field. The stakeholders surveyed were farmers, herders and loggers. A total of 354 people were surveyed and determined using the method of D. Schwartz (1995). People's perceptions of the determinants of spatio-temporal changes in vegetation were analyzed using the parameters of A. Byg and H. Balsley and CFA.
