Philip L. Houston is a first-time author, but he plans a complete series of children's stories under the "Animals in My Neighborhood" title. He is a grandfather who loves reading stories to his five grandchildren, so writing stories based on true events seemed like a natural direction for an aspiring author. Besides, it is a lot of fun for him to see the excitement in his grandchildren's eyes when Dada reads to them.
