Parametric study of turbo generator frame foundation. The turbo generator is one of the most important and expensive machine of power station. It is a centrifugal, well-balanced, heavy and high-speed machine with an operating speed of 3000 revolutions per minute. The performance of the turbo generator largely depends on behavior of foundation, which supports it. Thus, Turbo Machine Frame Foundation is a very vital component in Power Plant Complex (Hydro, Thermal, and Nuclear). With the increase in power demand, size of the machine is increasing day by day. While designing foundations, the designer has to justify that whether horizontal and vertical amplitude are within permissible limits or not? Whether vertical and horizontal frequency of foundation is far away from machine frequency or not so that Resonance Condition can be avoided. Now, in such a case by executing parametric study, one can decide which parameter out of many is most sensitive to odd results, so that by varying those parameters only results can be brought to the required level and do not affect other reliable results. Parameters: -- frequency -- RPM -- Mode shapes -- Height of column -- Size of column.
