In response to those wake up calls, the shift began the journey to Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) as a new procurement model, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean construction as two major process developments. These three paradigms are regarded to overcome those criticism caused by weakened delivery process, lack of innovation, non-achievement of value for money, and fragmented nature of the industry. A revolutionized software technology, the BIM, is playing major role in successful achievement of IPD along with lean principles.
