This book investigates the involvement of parents in the literacy development of their children in rural Namibian schools. There are no books on the involvement of parents in literacy development of their children in Namibia. The book is divided into five chapters: Explains the background of the study, the context, research problem, and the reason for the study. Presents an overview of the literature which is relevant to the research topic as well as the literature which has informed this study. Provides the theoretical framework of the research. Gisela Siririka ist Bildungsbeauftragte für Broad Curriculum am Institut für Bildungsentwicklung (NIED) in Namibia. Sie hat ihr Higher Education Diploma (HED Secondary) und anschließend ihren Bachelor of Education (B.Ed Hons) an derselben Universität abgeschlossen. Gisela hat außerdem ihren Master-Abschluss an der Rhodes Universität gemacht.
