This book, of five chapters with its number of headings and sub-headings, is an attempt at presenting both theory and practices of the Ambedkar's idea of social democracy in India. In theory, based on his volumes of books and articles, it covers his different ideas and thoughts or debates on various socio-economic and political system. And the practices cover every attempt made by him or his successors to implement his idea of social democracy. It covers the different constitutional, legal and administrative arrangements, and amendments of the Indian constitution for achieving the aforesaid goal.
