All Riled Up, although fiction, is the parallel story of mid-thirties Rave, his fiancée Annie, Brode (Rave's best friend), Kade (Rave's son), Milly (Annie's mother and Rave's very own 'Mrs. Robinson'-esque obsession). Between Rave's near-death experience, Brode's relentless friendship (despite his severe alcoholism) and Kade's early years' survival, one can only wonder if Annie's dragon-chasing habit will kill her - or everyone - involved.

Autorenporträt
J. Riley Higginbotham Riley, a longtime resident of Spokane, WA, born in Tokyo, Japan, has also resided in Seattle and in San Francisco (including, 1234 Haight Street, the renowned complement to Ashbury Street, the intersecting birthplace of, amongst other events, the anti-war hippie awakening and America's mindfulness movement). Being interviewed for this book, Riley said, "I'm a straightforward guy. I don't like too much talk. But, I think honesty is always best. It's better to face your problems head on. Procrastination will drag you down every time. So will beer and girls, especially when mixed." All Riled Up is Riley's first published book.
