This work is a contribution that updates the old problem of the conception of peasant societies as being amorphous in the face of the situations they face. It proposes to revisit African villages as spaces par excellence where peasant creativities are elaborated and invented around the capture of land. Access to land certainly poses problems for peasants in agropastoral areas, but it also inspires them to develop diverse and varied strategies for appropriating and managing the uncertainties surrounding land.
