Carin Martiin is Associate Professor in Agrarian History in the Department of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden. Juan Pan-Montojo is Associate Professor of Modern History at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. He has been the editor of Historia Agraria and currently edits Ayer, the journal of the Spanish Association of Modern Historians. Paul Brassley is Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Rural Policy Research, University of Exeter, UK.
