ROBBIE COX-WHITE is from Southern Illinois. She has always had a love for children's books. She started working as a student librarian when she was eight years old. She continued to work in the school library until she graduated from high school. She was employed in the elementary school library for a few years until retirement. She has three grown children and four grandchildren. Specks was her family's dog and a childhood friend.
