Williams experienced the tragedy of rape and the difficulties of teenage pregnancy and divorce and now lives to share her powerful testimony with those in need of help, encouragement, and direction. She leads several effective community-based ministries, including the Melissa Williams Ministry, Daughters of Destiny Inc., The Youth Empowerment Outreach and Mentoring Program, and The Empowerment Learning Academy, where she is CEO. Williams is the author of the best selling Doubt and Destiny Don't Mix and will soon release her first children's book, The Things We Love and Lose. Williams lives in Birmingham, Alabama, and is the proud mother of three beautiful children: Cornelius, Dajia, and Angel.
