The adoption of advance mechanization dairy farming technology has contributed immensely to increased milk production, alleviate poverty and hunger, reduce the threat of diseases and ensure environmental sustainability in developing countries including India. Adoption of dairy technologies among small holder dairy farmers, who constitute core milk production system in India, is driven by the objective of the increased milk production for both home consumption and commercial purposes. However, farmers face constraints in nutrition, diseases control, cattle upgrading, general management and change in government policy. This study entitled "Advance Mechanization in dairy farming" was carried out during January to April, 2017. The specific objectives of the study were to study the perception, awareness and scope of modern dairy machinery among farmers, and to find out the constraints and suggestions in adoption of modern machinery and technology in dairy farming. Constraints analysiswas done using Likert scale methodology of modern dairy technologies, which included maize chopper, disc mower, drum mower, milking machine and total ration mixer machine.
