Betty Holland (a.k.a. Mommybird) is the mother of two amazing, successful adult children, Heidi and Randy, and surrogate/second mom to several non-biological adult children whom adopted her years ago. She is a proud grandma to three brilliant and talented grandsons: Kristian, Robert, and Bryce. She's also mommy to her fur-baby teacup Chihuahua, Xena, and Mommybird to six precocious parrots. Heidi and Randy recognized their mom's talent for creative writing and encouraged her to write a story about Humfrey the Hummingbird, so she did. Combining her love of birds, the magic of rainbows, and the delicate beauty of flowers created the perfect world for Humfrey and his friends. Bringing Humfrey and his friends to life on paper is truly a dream come true for Betty. She feels especially blessed and excited because this book's illustrator is her thirteen-year-old grandson, Kristian. His artistic expertise brought Humfrey's home alive with beauty and wonder. Collaborating with Kristian has been such a joy! Betty and Kristian hope to bring happiness, friendship, and maybe a little magic to everyone who reads this story.
