Produktbeschreibung
This book looks into a research project used to identify factors promoting the adoption of mHealth and determine usability challenges in the existing mHealth mobile phone applications in Kenya. The study aimed at establishing the factors promoting adoption of mHealth and determining the usability challenges in mHealth mobile phone applications in Kenya. Consequently a prototype mHealth mobile phone application was developed to address the usability challenges identified. The mHealth prototype mobile phone application dubbed "Uzazi Poa" was designed to complement maternal healthcare institutions by providing ante-natal and post-natal healthcare services and information. The book provides background information on use of mHealth in Kenya, outlining factors promoting its adoption and the usability challenges identified during the study. It then gives an overview of the prototype mobile phone application "Uzazi Poa" and the various features integrated into the application that seek to address earlier identified challenges. A conclusion of the study is done by enumerating the field test results of prototype mobile phone application, findings and recommendations of the research project.
