As the community adapts to changes in its meaning and purpose, Rafa and Aaron each find a first consort and draw inspiration from local knowledge keepers and change agents residing at SIRC, the nearby Monastery of Origins and Endings, or in Victoria or Vancouver. Aaron's health, damaged by his travel through a poison barren, deteriorates. With his death, his consort Parvati shares their legacy as patterns of living that may remove roadblocks to continuous adaptation and renewal.
