The A7 is a national road in Latvia connecting Riga to Lithuanian border (Grenct le), through Bauska, also known as Bauska highway or Via Baltica in Latvia. The road is part of European route E67 and Latvian TEN-T road network. After the border, the road turns in to Lithuanian A10. The length of A7 in Latvian teritorry is 86 kilometers. Currently A7 has 2x2 lanes only in territory of Riga, other parts have 1x1 lanes. The current speed limit is 90 km/h. In period of 2005 - 2006 A7 was reconstructed from 25th till 43rd kilometer and from 67th till 85th kilometer. A 2 kilometer strech of the road is currently under reconstruction in Iecava, and reconstruction of other 15 kilometer long strech will start this year. It's planned that in 2014 there will start construction of ekava bypass, thus reconstructing many other stretches of A7. The bypass will be builtto expressway or motorway standards. The average AADT on A7 in 2010 was 11107 cars per day.
