For the attentive Christian, every day is a new gift from God. From every such novelty comes a purpose and a divine message which connects us with the eternal kingdom inaugurated by Jesus Christ. This collection of concise daily reflections A Word For the Day by Rev. Fr. George Ehusani, is designed to cover the faith spectrum of the attentive Christian reader who desires to cultivate the habit of daily focusing on the enduring values of the kingdom. It directs the reader's attention to the spiritual and transcendental dimensions of the purpose and meaning of transient life on this earth, nudging the reader to moments of sober reflection on Jesus' civilisation and love, and the call to eternal salvation. The daily reflections are food for thought on why we are here, where we are headed, and what we ought to be doing in-between, on our journey of faith. They are at one and the same time reflective, sobering, nourishing, energising, comforting and healing. This abundant spiritual treasure is backed up with a daily scripture citation for good measure and supported with colourful picture motifs.Bishop Emmanuel BadejoDiocese of Oyo
