About the Author Marita has a no fluff approach to life and enjoys meeting and listening to people's stories and finding the connections in them. Living on the family farm for 40 years she has a deep appreciation for the land and all of nature. Marita has had a busy life. With a background that includes being a Mother to 3 sons and a Grandmother to their children; a Librarian; a Teacher; an avid World Traveller; a Family Historian; and an Entrepreneur. Marita hopes her grandchildren will grow up knowing and loving their rural colloquialisms, as she has. This is her first Children's book. She lives on a farm in Tarra Valley with her partner, 2 teenage children and various animals. Therefore when asked to do the illustrations for a book about farming, she jumped at the chance. This is her first foray into illustrating a book and she has enjoyed working on it immensely.
