An ordinary life unfolds as not so ordinary, and has readers asking, 'What happens next?' Writing with candour and wry humour Audrey reflects on her early years in Kenya lived during the Mau Mau uprising, her return to England after her father's death, and careers in horticulture and then nursing in various countries. She recounts experiences of cycling around Europe as a 19-year-old and nursing in Kenya, the Kimberley region of Western Australia and in Papua New Guinea. Intertwining her memoir is her search for God and a place to call home.
